About Us

Our History

Beginning as a very traditional sheep and arable farm, the business then evolved in the 1950’s to large scale pig production with the addition of seasonal turkey rearing. By the 1980’s the farm staff had dropped to 2 team members on the arable side and 6 on the piggery side. The constant fluctuation in pork prices led to the decision to move away from the pigs in the 1990’s and concentrate on new arable crops, such as oilseed rape and root crops, and enlargement of the farm’s organically farmed area.

We are always focused on making sure our land is managed to best advantage economically and environmentally.
